We've compiled the most frequently asked questions to ensure you have all the details at your fingertips.

Here are some answers to a few of the more common questions:

What if I am not sure how many players I will have? Can I add players after I make my reservation?

No problem! Just make a reservation for at least two players to reserve your time slot and we can adjust the total when you arrive with your group.

What is an “escape room”?

An escape room is a live-action experience where you and your team attempt to solve puzzles, complete challenges, and decipher clues to complete the mission and make it out of the room in a limited amount of time!

Are your rooms scary?

We are a family friendly company. Some of our rooms have a spooky atmosphere and may have one or two minor jump scares that are over very quickly, but it’s nothing so terrifying that it will keep you up at night afterwards.

Can I leave a room during the experience?

It is always possible to leave the room in case of an emergency. This should be avoided, however, by ensuring to use the restrooms just prior to starting your experience!

I am claustrophobic. Is that a problem?

Our rooms are spacious and are able to be exited at any time in case of an emergency. Having said that, feel free to contact us to get more detailed information about room sizes, etc. As a general rule, however, don’t worry! You’ll be preoccupied with solving puzzles and having a good time!

How old do I have to be to play?

Players of all ages can enjoy the experience, but players 12 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult. Keep in mind that critical thinking is necessary to enjoy the experience and may be difficult for younger players so use your best judgement when putting your team together! Also, children 6 years old and younger are FREE!

When should I arrive for my experience?

Players should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your booking time to fill out our waiver form, be briefed on your particular experience and ensure you get the full time for your scheduled experience. We cannot guarantee the full hour for late arrivals.

Can I reschedule my experience?

Any rescheduling of your experience must be done at least 24 hours in advance of the booking time.

Are your games private?

Every game you play with us at Back In Time is a 100% private game at no extra charge!

What happens if I am late for my scheduled experience?

If you arrive late, time may need to be deducted from your game duration to ensure a prompt start time for the next guests.

How many clues do we get?

You can ask for as many clues as you want during your mission with no penalties, and upon request your Game Master can accommodate less experienced players with smaller clues automatically as needed.

Do you issue refunds?

We allow full refunds if you cancel 24 hours or longer before your scheduled booking time. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows will be charged the full price.

Can I take pictures or video inside the room?

You can take and share selfies inside the room, but videos and photos of the puzzles and their solutions are not allowed. Please don’t spoil the experience for someone else!
